All sales are final. No refunds will be issued under any circumstances. Please read this policy in full before purchasing Bookend ("the Product"). By completing your purchase you confirm that you have read this policy and that you accept it without modification.
The Product is a digital download. The moment your payment is approved, the full contents of the Product are made available to you via (i) an automatic redirect to the download URL and (ii) the same download URL included in the receipt email sent by our payment processor. From that moment forward you have full and irrevocable access to every file in the Product. There is no version of the Product you could "return" — once the files are in your possession, you have received everything that was sold to you, and the transaction is complete.
For this reason — the reason that applies to essentially all digital goods sold for instant download — refunds are not offered and are not available.
This no-refund policy is consistent with consumer protection law in the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, and most other jurisdictions in which digital goods are sold:
Your consent and acknowledgment for the purposes of these legal frameworks are evidenced by (i) the pre-purchase consent statement displayed adjacent to every "Get the bundle" button on the Bookend landing page, (ii) the consent text included in the product description shown at Stripe checkout, and (iii) your act of completing the purchase. These constitute clear, knowing, and informed consent under the applicable statutes.
The Product is delivered the instant your payment is approved. Specifically: (i) your browser is automatically redirected to the download URL, and (ii) the same download URL appears in the receipt email sent to the address you provided at checkout. The download link does not expire and is not limited to a single use — you can re-open the receipt email at any time and re-download the Product.
If you believe you did not receive the Product, before contacting us please: (a) check your inbox and your spam/junk folder for the receipt email from Stripe, and (b) confirm the email address you provided at checkout was correct. If after doing both of these you still cannot locate the download link, contact us at support@bookend.tools and we will resend it. Re-delivery of the same Product to the same buyer is provided as a courtesy and is not a refund.
The full description of the Product — including a complete inventory of its contents (six Claude.ai Projects, fifty operator prompts, eight client templates, the setup guide, and supporting documents), the format (a downloadable ZIP archive of markdown files), the intended use (installation into your own Claude.ai account), and the one-time pricing — is published on the Bookend landing page and reproduced in the Stripe checkout description. The Product is delivered exactly as described.
The Product is sold without warranty as to specific outcomes you may obtain from using it. The Terms of Service set this out in detail at Sections 9 and 10. Your subjective assessment of whether the Product meets your business needs does not constitute a defect in the Product.
Change of mind is not grounds for a refund of a digital good under any jurisdiction's consumer protection statutes that apply to this sale. The instant-delivery and consumer-consent provisions described in Section 2 above were specifically drafted to allow merchants to deliver digital content immediately without becoming subject to a unilateral right of withdrawal. Your purchase reflects an informed decision; the policy you are reading was available to you before that purchase.
If you believe a purchase was made on your payment method without your authorization, this is a matter for your card issuer or payment provider in the first instance. Please contact them. We will cooperate in good faith with any properly initiated fraud investigation. Note, however, that Stripe collects billing address, IP address, and other transaction metadata that is generally sufficient to establish whether a purchase was authorized by the cardholder.
The categories above cover the substantial majority of refund requests we receive. If your situation falls outside them, you may still write to us at support@bookend.tools and describe the circumstances. We read every message. We do not, however, commit in advance to making any exception, and no exception that may be granted in any individual case constitutes a waiver of this policy or a precedent for any future request.
You agree that initiating a chargeback or other dispute with your card issuer, payment provider, or financial institution in relation to a purchase of the Product — without first contacting us at support@bookend.tools and giving us no less than ten (10) business days to respond in writing — constitutes a material breach of these Terms and of the Terms of Service.
In the event of an unjustified chargeback, Bookend reserves all rights to (i) submit to the payment processor all documentary evidence in its possession in defense of the charge, including but not limited to the pre-purchase consent record, the IP address and timestamp of the purchase, the billing address provided, the delivery confirmation, and any subsequent download or access events; (ii) revoke any license previously granted to you under the Terms of Service; and (iii) pursue recovery of the disputed amount, any chargeback fees imposed by the payment processor, and reasonable collection costs through any lawful means.
If, despite our reasonable efforts, the Product is genuinely not delivered to you — meaning the download link does not work and we are unable to provide an alternative method of delivery within ten (10) business days of your written notice to support@bookend.tools — we will, at our sole discretion, either (a) deliver the Product by alternative means, or (b) issue a full refund of the purchase price. This is the only circumstance in which a refund may be issued.
You are responsible for reviewing the Product description, the contents of this Refund Policy, and the Terms of Service before completing your purchase. By clicking the "Get the bundle" button and completing payment at Stripe, you confirm that you have done so and that you accept this policy in full.
Questions about this Refund Policy may be sent to support@bookend.tools before purchase. We will respond to good-faith inquiries within a reasonable time. Asking a question about the policy is not the same as a refund request; this Section 7 does not create any refund entitlement.
This Refund Policy is incorporated into and forms part of the Terms of Service. By purchasing Bookend, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted both documents.
